{"id":1201,"date":"2023-11-22T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/?p=1201"},"modified":"2023-11-22T11:43:19","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T11:43:19","slug":"dhm-microscope-installed-in-lecco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/?p=1201","title":{"rendered":"DHM microscope installed in Lecco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lecco, Italy&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;14<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a significant step forward for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"352\">TROPHY<\/a> project,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lynceetec.com\/\">Lync\u00e9eTec<\/a>, a key partner responsible for the design and engineering of the innovative &#8220;ulTRafast\u00a0hOlograPHic\u00a0FT-IR\u00a0microscopY&#8221; system, recently visited the laboratories at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fisi.polimi.it\/en\">Politecnico\u00a0di Milano<\/a> and the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology of the CNR (<a href=\"https:\/\/ifn.cnr.it\/\">IFN-CNR<\/a>) in Lecco, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lync\u00e9eTec,\u00a0worldwide\u00a0leader in Digital Holographic Microscopy (DHM\u00ae), took this\u00a0opportunity to install the first prototype of the system. The prototype is designed to integrate Digital Holography Microscopy with\u00a0ultrafast\u00a0laser sources\u00a0and\u00a0with\u00a0an innovative\u00a0all-optical lock-in camera\u00a0system\u00a0developed in collaboration between Italian institutions (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fisi.polimi.it\/en\">Politecnico\u00a0di Milano <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/ifn.cnr.it\/\">IFN-CNR<\/a>) and Spain (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icfo.eu\/\">ICFO<\/a>).\u00a0The ultrafast\u00a0regime will be used for the first time\u00a0to\u00a0excite\u00a0and\u00a0probe photo-thermal signals\u00a0in combination with a\u00a0lock-in camera for\u00a0multi-parallel low-noise detection.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/TROPHY-mic-delivery.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1200\" style=\"object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/TROPHY-mic-delivery.png 600w, https:\/\/www.trophy-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/TROPHY-mic-delivery-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TROPHY project aims to introduce a paradigm shift in vibrational microscopy&nbsp;with&nbsp;an&nbsp;ulTRafast&nbsp;hOlograPHic&nbsp;FT-IR&nbsp;microscopY&nbsp;approach.&nbsp;The underlying&nbsp;technology combines elements of photo-thermal infrared (PT-IR), Fourier transform (FT-IR), and Digital Holography Microscopy (DHM), bringing these techniques to an unprecedented ultrafast timescale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration between TROPHY project partners and&nbsp;Lync\u00e9eTec&nbsp;signifies a crucial milestone towards the realization of this cutting-edge microscopy system.
