Saumya is a post-doc researcher working on the TROPHY project. Her role involves using photothermal-IR, FT-IR, and digital holographic microscopy for image collection, discrimination using standard machine learning approaches, and developing AI tools for image analysis. She obtained a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. During her Ph.D., she has mainly worked on different biomedical applications of Raman spectroscopy using various machine learning and deep learning approaches. Her thesis work was focused on the classification of ESKAPE pathogens isolated from clinical isolates and understanding the progression of antimicrobial resistance.
